Internal Doors

Mikee is friendly and reliable. Will use again.

Office and workspace build

I have used Mikey at A-Star Carpenters for a number of little projects at my property and have been very impressed with the overall workmanship and quality of work carried out. That being said, I fell compelled to leave a review regarding our latest project. A-Star carpenters transformed an empty space and an idea into reality, creating a fully furnished office with bespoke desks and a feature wall, utilising all empty spaces! It was great to see the project in a CAD design prior to installation to give me that reassurance that we had the same vision. Highly recommend.

Boxing in of wardrobes

Mike came to box in a set of very large wardrobes to give the appearance of fully fitted wardrobes. He was able to attend a few days after agreeing to do the work and came on time. He was polite and courteous and completed the work to a high standard, he also helped me with a few other tasks that we hadn’t previously discussed. I would definitely recommend ASTAR and would absolutely use them again.

Creaking floorboards. Investigation to cause and repair.

2 men identified the causes and repaired where possible. This consisted of putting in extra supports, then screwing down boards securely and gluing gaps. The work seemed adequate and did resolve the worse of the creaks. However, creaks reappeared in a few days. 1 was clearly due to a section that was inadequately secured and not glued. I called the owner to ask advice and suggested the men return to complete the job. (particularly as it was expensive for just 3 hours work)
